Katende sits on the Kampala–Masaka corridor at one of the most interesting locations in the region right now: the new Busega–Mpigi Expressway. What used to be a slow crawl out of Kampala is now a fast dual-carriageway run — from the Lungala interchange, central Kampala is roughly fifteen minutes away. Land markets follow roads, and Katende is an early beneficiary: close enough to the city for daily commuting and commercial projects, far enough out that land still trades well below Kampala and Entebbe Road prices.
